Calibration Suite FAQ

Practical answers about calibration, reports, equipment records, and licensing.

Getting Started

Can I use Calibration Suite on a laptop?

Yes. Calibration Suite is designed for Windows laptops and desktop computers, so you can use it in the field or at the office.

Can I use Calibration Suite on my smartphone?

Smartphones are not yet supported. Calibration Suite currently requires a Windows laptop or desktop computer.

Calibration and Reports

What instruments can I calibrate using Calibration Suite?

Calibration Suite supports guided calibration and reporting for:

  • Pressure gauges and differential-pressure gauges.
  • Pressure transducers using the pressure-transmitter workflow for supported 4–20 mA, 1–5 V, and 0–10 V outputs.
  • Temperature indicators.
  • Pressure (PIT) and temperature (TIT) transmitters.
  • Pressure, differential-pressure, and temperature switches, including the supported high and low designations.
  • IEC platinum RTDs: Pt50, Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, and Pt1000, with two-, three-, and four-wire connections.
  • Thermocouples: types B, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T.

Level transmitters (LIT) and flow transmitters (FIT) are also included as registered instrument types. Level switches (LSL, LSH, LSLL, LSHH) and flow switches (FSL, FSH, FSLL, FSHH) are registered types as well. Dedicated calibration workflows for these level and flow instruments remain under review.

See the Features page for the expanded instrument family list and workflow status.

You perform the tests using appropriate calibration equipment; Calibration Suite guides the workflow, records results, evaluates tolerances, and prepares reports.

What engineering units are available in Calibration Suite?

Available units depend on the selected instrument and calibration method:

  • Pressure: PSI, kPa, bar, inH₂O, and mmH₂O. Millibars (mbar) are also available for differential pressure switches.
  • Temperature: °C and °F.
  • Electrical readings: mA, V, Ω, and mV.
Can I print reports when needed?

Yes. You can print your reports for customers, job records, or office files, and keep digital copies.

Can I email completed reports?

You can save completed reports as PDFs and attach them to an email using Outlook or another email service.

Can I make changes after a calibration session is signed off?

Yes. An administrator can reopen a signed-off session by entering a reason, such as adding an instrument. Calibration Suite records the reason and increments the revision number. Existing completed instrument readings remain locked.

Equipment Records and Imports

Can I save my test equipment in Calibration Suite?

Yes. You can maintain a test equipment register with equipment details, calibration dates, and due dates, then assign saved equipment to jobs.

How does Calibration Suite track calibration due dates for test equipment?

The test equipment register stores calibration and due dates for each item and displays its status as Current, Due Soon, or Overdue. This helps you identify equipment that needs attention before assigning it to a job.

Can I import calibration data from Excel?

Yes. Calibration Suite supports Excel (.xlsx) reports. You can review the extracted data before importing it into calibration history.

Can I import a test equipment list from Excel?

Yes. Calibration Suite supports importing Excel (.xlsx) and CSV equipment lists into the test equipment register.

Licensing and Availability

Can I purchase a single license, or do I need two?

You can purchase a single Calibration Suite license for one computer. Additional computer licenses are optional.

Do I receive a license key when I purchase Calibration Suite?

Yes. Your purchase includes a license key to activate Calibration Suite on your licensed computer.

Do you offer a monthly license for Calibration Suite?
